How to

A reading pack in four steps.

  1. 01

    Add your PDFs

Drop in papers, slides and notes. Reorder them, or add just the page ranges you need.

  2. 02

    Trim the margins

In the editor, trim white margins and apply it to every page of a file, so the text uses the whole page.

  3. 03

    Choose a binding

Folded signatures make a booklet. Loose sheets are cut in half and stacked, ready for a corner staple.

  4. 04

    Print double-sided

Export the PDF and print two-sided on the short edge at 100%.

Questions

Good to know.

Will the text be too small?

Each page prints at A5, which is about 71% of the width of A4. Trimming the white margins first makes the text noticeably larger.

Booklet or loose sheets?

A folded booklet is best for something you read cover to cover. Loose sheets (each sheet cut in half and stacked in order) suit long documents and are easy to staple in a corner.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Foldio runs entirely in your browser, and your files stay on your computer.

Is it free?

Yes. The Free plan covers folded books, stapled booklets, one-page zines and loose-sheet books, with no account, no watermark and no page limit. Pro adds more layouts and a cover designer, and you can try it free for 14 days with no card.
