Who we are

Mohamed Magdy (“we”) runs foldio.pro and the Foldio app. By using foldio.pro or the Foldio app you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Foldio.

What Foldio does

Foldio is a web app that arranges, edits and generates pages for printing as books. It runs in your browser, and your files stay on your computer. Keep your own copies of anything important: your projects live in your browser’s storage, and clearing it deletes them. Save a .foldio file as a backup.

Your account

You don’t need an account for the Free plan. If you create one, keep access to your email address, as that’s how you sign in. You’re responsible for what happens in your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian’s permission.

The free trial of Pro

Each person can take one 14-day free trial of Foldio Pro, which starts when you ask for it. It needs a regular email address, not a temporary one. No payment details are needed and you won’t be charged. When the trial ends you return to the Free plan, and books you’ve already made stay yours. Please don’t create extra accounts to take it again; we may end free trials that are misused.

Paid plans and packs

When paid plans and template packs are on sale, prices are shown before you buy. Our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle, handles the order, payment, taxes and invoices, and Paddle’s own terms apply to the purchase. Subscriptions renew until you cancel, and cancelling keeps your plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

Your books and files

What you add to Foldio and what you make remains yours. We don’t receive your files or claim any rights in them. You’re responsible for having the right to use what you add, including text, images and fonts.

Our templates and generated pages

You can print and share books made from Foldio’s ideas and templates for yourself, your family, friends, classroom or community. If you’d like to sell them, please ask us first at the address below. You may not resell the templates, sample pages or artwork themselves as templates or files.

Fair use

Please don’t use Foldio to break the law, to harm others, or to attack, overload or copy the service.

Availability

We work to keep Foldio running and accurate, but it’s provided “as is”, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Check your pages before printing a large run. We may change or stop features, and we’ll give notice of major changes when we reasonably can.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses, or for lost files or wasted paper and ink, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law that can’t be limited.
